Bringing advanced software engineering expertise to research groups at Princeton
Body
The Research Software Engineering group at Princeton is a key part of the Princeton Research Computing consortium, situated within the iconic Lewis Library. Their mission is to support researchers in developing highly efficient, scalable, and sustainable research software that drives scientific innovation.
They achieve this by working closely with academic research teams, leading the design and development of complex, custom software systems. Their expertise enables them to support advanced data science and computational research across a range of fields, including high-energy physics, machine learning, neuroscience, and genomics.
The group offers specialized algorithms, optimization strategies, and performance improvements, along with expert guidance on both current and emerging tools in software development, programming languages, and high-performance computing hardware.
They are dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment that values best practices in software engineering and to applying computational techniques across disciplines to explore new research frontiers.
